Is the Cancer Support Network free?
Yes, all the features on CancerSupportNet are free. CancerSupportNet is supported by advertising and additional services. In the future, CancerSupportNet may add paid Premium Services, but all the features and functions you have access to will always remain FREE!
How can I change my Email address and password?
Login to your account and choose "My Profile" from the menu on the left hand side of the page. You will be taken to your profile where you can make changes to all your profile data.
I forgot my user name and/or password, how do I retrieve them?
Go to the Cancer Support Network home page at www.cancersupportnet.com or click "Forgot username or password?" and you can retrieve it.
How do I change my screen name?
Log into your account and choose "My Profile" from them menu on the left hand side of the page. You will be taken to your profile where you can make changes to your profile data.

Log into your account and choose "My Profile" from them menu on the left hand side of the page. You will be taken to your profile where you can make changes to your profile data.
How do I suspend my profile permanently or temporarily?
Log into your account. Once logged in to your account look in the MEMEBER INFO box, and choose "Suspend" to suspend your account temporarily or permanently. Accounts cannot be automatically deleted.
How do I delete my profile?
Accounts cannot be automatically deleted. Contact the administrator if you wish to have your account deleted.
How do I block a member?
While logged into your account, search for the profile you are looking for. Once you are viewing it, then scroll down to CUSTOM MENU on the left hand side of the page. Once there find "Block Member," and click it to block that member.
I think someone hacked my account, what do I do?
Please immediately contact admin@socialsciencesnet.com. In the subject line put your Nickname, and the word "Hacked" in the following format: "Nickname - HACKED." In the body of your email please provide the following information:
- Your name
- Your Email Address used on your Cancer Support Network account
- Your Nickname
- A summary of the issue.
What is the Communicator?
The communicator is a way for you to see who you have viewed, who viewed you, see who you invited to be your friend, and more.

Log into your account and go to "My Pages" on the left menu of your screen. Click it and a sub-menu will show up where you can click on "My Guestbook" and then create your blog.

How do I use Instant Messenger?
Log into your account, and choose "Messenger" from the menu on the left hand side of the page. A new window should pop up.
How do I see if my friends are online?
After logging into your account click on the "Presence" link on the left hand side menu, a new window will pop up and you sill be able to see which of your friends is online.
I cannot create an account, what do I do?

How do I get access to the cancer research library?
To use the cancer research library you must join the Cancer Support Network. By joining the Cancer Support Network you will have full access to search and bookmark your information to your profile for future use. You can Join now by clicking the link.
How do I bookmark information from the library for future reference?
Look up your information in the library, when you find an article you like, you can click the "Save to my profile for later" button. You can then go to "My Pages" and you will see a link which says "My Cancer Library" so you can reference the materials you found.
